auth whoami fails or returns unauthenticated

Run login again:

docsalot auth login
docsalot auth whoami --json

For CI, use token login via stdin:

echo "$DOCSALOT_API_TOKEN" | docsalot auth login --from-stdin

documentation-id errors

Get a fresh ID from:

docsalot docs list --json

Copy the exact documentation-id and retry the command.

Pull succeeds but preview looks wrong

Check that you are previewing the same directory you pulled into:

docsalot docs preview --dir docsalot-docs --port 3000

​

Push or publish fails unexpectedly

• Confirm your logged-in account still has access to the documentation/team.
• Re-run with --json and inspect structured error details.
• Pull latest docs and retry if other contributors recently changed content.

Port already in use for preview

Choose another port:

docsalot docs preview --dir docsalot-docs --port 3001
